Our experience with Amy Petrovsky of Sensational Events was nothing short of Enchanting! From our first meeting to the last dance, Amy orchestrated a wedding weekend at the Enchantment Resort in Sedona, Arizona that exceeded our wildest dreams and Pinterest Board expectations! Her attention to detail is unmatched, turning every aspect into a personalized eye-catching, show stopper. Her seamless coordination, based on the respect and relationships she has created with vendors all throughout Arizona, allowed us to savor every moment of the weekend and the wedding day, knowing that Amy had it all under control. My husband and I are forever grateful for her passion, dedication and the joy she brought to our special day.
Let me start by saying that no one could have pulled off the magnificent New England destination wedding like Amy was able to do. This was our third wedding Amy has planned for our family and without a doubt this was the most challenging due to the distance with us in El Paso, Amy in Scottsdale, the bride in DC, and a wedding weekend just outside of Boston in the beautiful coastal town of Marblehead. Within 8 months, the wedding was executed to perfection and my friends and family were overwhelmed with how beautiful the entire 4 days were. We started with a Rooftop party on Thursday (The Hotel Salem), Rehearsal Dinner on Friday (Boston Yacht Club), a church wedding (Our Lady Star of the Sea) on Saturday at 12:30 and not one but two (!!) receptions. There was a "post i-do" toast (The Beacon) after the ceremony where everyone gathered to eat and drink before heading out a little later for an evening reception at Connemara House. Sunday brunch at the Wharf in Salem (Finz) was the perfect ending. Amy started immediately researching vendors, calling, referencing, getting recommendations from every possible source. Her organization is above and beyond. No task was too small and no challenge was too big for her to handle. Whether is was talking to half a dozen caterers to find the perfect fit, or perfecting every last detail of the branding of the weekend, to planning transportation from various bed and breakfasts and hotels, the organization to ship massive amount of supplies for the weekend, setting up "shop" to prepare our incredible welcome bags, the list was endless. With Amy's coordination I was in the best possible hands. Amy easily understood the vision our daughter had and conveyed this with all the vendors while also adding her signature touches to make the weekend unique and special for our family. She could always see the 'bigger picture" when I as the mother of the bride got stalled with something small. Amy always saw a solution. She is creative, energetic, personable with all the vendors ( I think she made some lifelong friends!), and most importantly focused on the things that were of the utmost importance at the perfect time. One of my favorite things about Amy is how detailed she is. I think one of the best aspects of the wedding day (and the entire weekend) was the timeline. How many weddings have you attended that a focused, well executed timing of each and every task was perfectly seen to fruition. She, without a doubt, has true talent. She always kept the budget on track even when I would get overly excited about something, she was there to reign me in! Clearly knowing what would make an impact and what wouldn't. I can't say enough about Amy. She will be your biggest cheerleader, biggest supporter of what you want in a wedding, your go-to person for everything and most of all a friend. She is always available for a facetime or call, answers texts no matter what the hour and by far the most accommodating planner. Weddings always have their challenges but with Amy as your planner you can leave the stress and worrying to her. She is calm and focused and always has your best interest at heart. We have 100% certainty that no other organization or person could have helped design, create and help our vision for our wedding celebration come to life like Sensational Events and Amy Petrovsky. It was a massive effort which involved dozens of different vendors and literally moving them all over mountains to a private residence in the countryside to create a 300 person party. Beyond the flawless execution, we are just generally grateful for having someone we could trust... someone who cared for our home and property as if it were her own. Someone who planned our wedding as if it were for her own family. We cannot say enough about how our experience with Sensational Events was more positive than we could have imagined.

I hired Amy to help me throw the most spectacular 50th birthday party and she exceeded my expectations in every way! She has connections with the best vendors. She’s creative, has a vision, will advocate for you and knows how to project manage like it’s nobody’s business. She held all of us to our deadlines, ensured everything was perfectly arranged. Took care of all the details including emailing my guests, creating the invitations, picking up the flowers, negotiating with the hotel, EVERYTHING! Our party was months ago and people are still talking about it! Hire. Her. Now!
Pros: • Organized & thorough • Helpful vendor recommendations • Organized platform on google drive for all documents • Amy worked with us from May 2021 – Oct 2022 • Rayna, Amy’s daughter who attended our wedding in Amy's place, was very attentive Cons: • Amy breached our contract by initially stating she would be onsite the day of our wedding but then later advised us that she could not make it. Amy worked a different wedding the same day as our wedding. Therefore, she did not attend our wedding & she was not available for any communication the entire day of our wedding even though we contracted with her first. We were contracted with her & had our deposit paid for 7 months prior to the other couple that she booked herself with on the same night, so there should not have been any confusion as to her obligation to us. The contract that we signed stated, “Onsite event coordination by a Sensational Events team member – Amy.” However, she had her daughter, Rayna, attend our wedding instead • When we told Amy that we were going to write an honest review she blocked us from all social media & from all our shared docs on our google drive from the wedding such as contracts & receipts that we uploaded • We were not able to rent certain items from Amy such as table numbers because she had them reserved for the other couple’s wedding that same night • Amy lied to us stating that she could not attend our event because of a “family obligation” which she informed us was her in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. However exactly 1 month after our wedding she made social media posts wishing the other couple a happy 1-month anniversary along with a video she took at their wedding • Right before our grand entrance we were informed by Rayna that some tables at the reception did not have enough chairs for the number of guests that were supposed to be seated. Rayna asked if we could pull up the seating chart on our phones, which neither one of us had. This is info that Amy should have communicated to Rayna but did not, & Rayna with her lack of experience, did not think to check on the seating chart while setting up the morning of. Rayna also could not get ahold of Amy for this info • The seating chart was never fixed since Rayna did not have the info she needed. Extra guests that could not fit at their assigned tables were moved to other tables instead of having chairs added to their assigned table • Our photographer, videographer & DJ, informed us that they would no longer be able to work with us because Amy was not going to allow them to have contact with us. She wanted all contact to be through her, & that is not how this vendor operated. Given how much we loved this vendor, we had to tell Amy to include us in communication. From then on, Amy wouldn’t communicate with them & would have us take care of communication since we “were the ones that contracted with them" • 8 months prior to our wedding our venue asked Amy for proof of insurance for all of our vendors. Amy waited until 2 weeks before to collect this info. Our cake baker did not have insurance so we ended up having to pay for insurance out of our own pockets because it was too late to book a different baker Our wedding turned out to be a success in the end. While we were satisfied with the wedding, we wish that we would have gone with a different planner. We are confident that there are other planners out there that could plan an amazing wedding without all of the emotional stress & inconvenience that Amy caused us the past year and a half. DO NOT HIRE AMY!
Amy is a real go getter and stood behind every decision I made as a bride. She really made what I envisioned as a wedding come to life! I could have not organized my 3 day event wedding without her. I highly recommend Amy as she really is in your corner the whole time!
Five months ago we had the most spectacular, sensational weekend! It was the most epic celebration. Everything was precise, beautiful, and perfectly executed. It was our once-in-a-lifetime wedding weekend! The day my husband and I had dreamed about since we were little, thought about since the moment we met, and patiently waited for while the world turned upside down for a worldwide pandemic. Amy Petrovsky was our dauntless defender, as we affectionately called our bulldog, who made sure every moment from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon went off without a hitch. Yet, with all that planning, it felt effortless. She steered us to an impeccable team of vendors that made our weekend feel warm and inclusive, not like just another wedding. Amy worked with our parents from different states and different religious backgrounds to make all of us feel equally served and important. Ultimately she was our rock and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the outcome! If you are looking for a SENSATIONAL planner look no further, Amy is the woman for your EVENTS! We really cannot say enough!
Amy truly is sensational!!! My fiancé and I decided on a destination wedding after experiencing my sister’s gorgeous wedding in Arizona, in which Amy was their wedding planner. Once we decided on California as our wedding destination, we didn’t think she could be our planner since she is based in Arizona, but after our first phone call, she assured us that she would be more than up for the job. Amy’s professionalism, organizational skills, her penchant for detail, and invaluable experience are obvious from the start. She is very personable and kept us on track regarding all the things we had to do. Unlike other couples we have observed, we never really stressed out about wedding planning because that’s how awesome Amy is!!! She really listened to what's important to us and made sure we enjoyed our day. She did all the research on venue spaces, florists, DJs, photographers, makeup artists etc. and encouraged us to choose who we felt was right for us. Amy knows how to deal with vendors and talk their language, since most of these things were out of our depths. Amy is no-nonsense especially the day of the wedding, which ensured that everything did go the way we really wanted. Two years ago, she did my sister’s wedding, and now after doing mine, Amy is family. Thank you, Sensational Events, for making our wedding a fairytale!!!

We could not have pulled off the wedding weekend of our dreams without our fearless leader, Amy Petrovsky! Planning a wedding from across the country was daunting to say the least, but Amy always assured us that we were right on pace, thanks to her meticulous organization skills and processes. She was always available to talk whenever we needed her and kept us up-to-date in real-time via the Google Drive folder she put together for us and helped us manage with all of our checklists, budget spreadsheets and other very helpful materials she provided. Her flexibility and accommodating personality was so appreciated while my husband and I were planning the wedding amongst our otherwise incredibly busy work schedules. Believe it or not, we only went out to Scottsdale ONCE before the wedding to meet with her in-person for the first time and to meet with all of our many options of vendors. She seamlessly coordinated that entire weekend with all of those meetings and helped us make efficient decisions within a very limited time-frame. When I think back on that whirlwind of a weekend, I cannot believe all that we got accomplished. And we had so much fun doing it!! That’s the thing about Amy… It is miraculous the way she keeps everyone on-task while still reminding everyone that we are planning the most incredible event of our lives and that we should enjoy every moment of it! As we got closer to the wedding (and the anxiety started to kick in!), I was very much be able to lean on Amy for all of the little details that needed to be taken care of. Her and my mom really hit it off and worked so well together in those last couple of months, and I was so appreciative of the relationship they had. It was so comforting to know I had these two women I trusted so much taking care of all of the last-minute details. Among so many other things, Amy even opened up personal space in her own home as we started shipping boxes upon boxes of things out to Scottsdale prior to the wedding! That is just one of so many examples that shows how personally invested she is in her clients and the perfect execution of their big day. She is willing and happy to do just about anything to make it the most pleasant and convenient experience possible for everyone involved. Not only did she help us plan the wedding day itself, she also helped us plan our rehearsal dinner and welcome festivities the night before, and a pool party brunch the day after! It was a BIG undertaking to say the least, and she did it without batting an eye. When it came to the rehearsal dinner in particular, we definitely could not have done it without her. Because it was Valentine’s Day, we decided to host it at a private residence we had rented and everything was supposed to be outside on the beautiful lawn. As luck would have it, the weather forecast was threatening rain, which is very rare in Scottsdale, so not something we had anticipated at all… I honestly had no idea what we were going to do because I knew all off the furniture we had rented (and all of the people!) would never comfortably fit inside. But I did know that Amy had it under control and that she would figure it out. And of course she did! She helped us swap out the rentals last-minute for furniture that would fit better in the space and turned the house into a stunning venue with her creative vision and flexibility. And she did all of this while I was at my hair and makeup trial, so when I walked out of there, everything had already been taken care of. And it honestly turned out better than I could’ve even imagined. I could go on and on about all of the ways she helped make our wedding the most amazing experience ever, but I will end with this… Amy is SENSATIONAL. She is THE planner. There is no one else out there that could’ve pulled off what she did for us, and I am eternally grateful to her for everything. She went so above and beyond for us every step of the way and I could tell that she found true joy and pride in doing so, which made us equally proud to have her leading the way. We love you Amy!!!

Amy was wonderful!!! For 6 months before, and through their wedding day, with just one very organized wedding planning weekend trip to Scottsdale from Cleveland, Amy worked with my daughter and her fiancé in planning the destination wedding of their dreams. From finalizing timelines, confirming vendors, running the rehearsal, and of course bringing it all together the day of the event, we (mom & dad of the bride) could not be happier with the job she did in helping us create a celebration that we felt good about. Amy turned everyone’s vision into a reality to make the ceremony and rehearsal dinner pure perfection! She is so friendly and easy to work with, professional and always available. She listened to what was envisioned by all, and really made sure that our daughter’s wedding day was beautiful and perfect! She made sure that anything we could have needed was taken care of before we even realized we needed something! She was very organized and I was not worried about a single thing the whole day & night. Destination weddings have a unique planning requirement and we couldn’t have done it without Amy. We highly recommend her!
