Light Heart Coffee Shop truly lives up to its name. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and genuinely cared for. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and makes every visit feel personal. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and you can tell a lot of heart goes into everything they do. On top of that, the coffee is absolutely delicious!
I’ve had such a great experience every time I come here when I’m in town. The baristas always make me feel so welcome, the coffee is consistently delicious, and the customer service is excellent.
Discrimination should never be tolerated anywhere especially not a place that calls itself Light hearted. Unforgivable behavior.
As a barista in the Valley, trying new coffee shops is literally my hobby. After seeing Light Hearted Café all over TikTok, I expected warmth, good coffee, and at the bare minimum basic hospitality. What I got was the complete opposite. From the second I walked in, I wasn’t acknowledged or welcomed in any way. No hello, no smile, nothing. Huge red flag in hospitality. The barista taking my order moved with zero urgency, gave the fakest customer service voice imaginable, and slapped on a mediocre smile that didn’t reach the eyes. My drink was made while the barista sat down… which honestly told me everything I needed to know. Here’s where it got uncomfortable: the customer directly behind me who was CAUCASIAN was greeted warmly, chatted with, and treated like a HUMAN being. The contrast was impossible to ignore. As someone who works in this industry, I’m very aware of how service should look, and this felt less like coincidence and more like DISCRIMINATION. The coffee itself was mediocre, but bad coffee can be forgiven. Bad, cold, selective service cannot. People don’t come to cafés just for caffeine—they come to feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer I felt neither. For a place called Light Hearted, the energy was heavy, unwelcoming, and disappointing. If I were the owner, I’d seriously rethink staff expectations and training—because this experience was anything but light-hearted. Huge letdown.

Matcha was delicious! I got the nisu and the combination with raspberry and cardamom was fantastic! Also got two chai's and they smelled and tasted like Christmas in a cup. There was a slight line but we were in and out of there within 5 minutes! The staff was super friendly and it was super cute in there! Found them on Instagram awhile ago and made sure I stopped when we were in Arizona for the short time! Definitely worth it!
